I planted a few bulbs at the back of our border in the shadiest spot by our pond two years ago and each spring I congratulate myself on this decision. They're lovely and last for such a long time!
That's one of the joys of gardening isn't it, congratulating our past selves for fabulous decisions?! We can gloss over the things that didn't go to plan. (Or dig them up and stick them in the corner of shame.)
